Donations raised will help children like Alan and Artie; two brothers that, in August 2022, had third degree burns covering 48% and 22% of their bodies respectively, including multiple extremities and their faces. Both boys spent time intubated and sedated while they underwent multiple surgeries, including graft placements. The boys worked with burn therapists to help regain the strength to walk, feed themselves, and be kids again. As of May 2023, the boys are healing and have come so far due to their continued physical and occupational therapies, and the support from Akron Children’s Hospital.

“Stacey Cool, LPN, makes a special visit on her day off to see former burn patients Alan (left) and Artie Curtis. The Curtis brothers were burned in an explosion in their home. Both suffered third-degree burns requiring skin graft placement surgery.
