Visit your local Walmart or Sam’s Club to support Akron Children’s Hospital!
Walmart’s and Sam’s Club’s campaign is underway and will continue through July 14, 2023. Over 5,000 Walmart and Sam’s Club locations in the United States will be raising funds for their local Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. 36 of those locations will be raising funds for Akron Children’s Hospital!
During the campaign, funds come in through staffed registers, at self-checkout, through Walmart.com and the Walmart app, and lastly through associates’ fundraising efforts.
At staffed registers and self-checkouts: Customers/members are asked to Round Up, $1, $5, or any donation amount.
At Walmart.com and Walmart App: Customers are asked to Round Up their order.

I visited Medina’s Walmart (location 1894) after work hours to do my weekly shopping to support Walmart in their campaign and Akron Children’s Hospital. I spoke with a self-checkout employee, Dawn, and thanked her for her support. She explained to me that this campaign and Akron Children’s are wonderful things, as one of her children spent 3.5 months in the NICU at Akron Children’s. Hearing her “why” increased my already overflowing dedication to help children and Akron Children’s Hospital. Thank you Dawn, thank you Walmart, and thank you Akron Children’s Hospital!
